Really Excellent Food. Baba ghanouj is best I think I've had, falafel is perfectly seasoned, fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. Fried halloumi cheese is the ultimate comfort food. Will definitely order again when I'm not motivated to get out to the restaurant.

Delicious and authentic Middle Eastern food. I recommend the cauliflower steak (not on the menu, but you can call for it) with the pomegranate reduction, the kafta, and the knafeh. Service is great, and it's consistent in its deliciousness.

originally they missed an item we ordered, substituted it with something else. they were apologetic and offered to send us the dish or give us a credit, they sent over the dish so quickly. everything was hot fresh and delish!

I just tried the knafeh as I was craving a good one for a while, honestly it's one of the best I have tasted, now I am excited to go there and have dinner with my husband

This is a great source for family-style Lebanese cooking. One of the best restaurants in Bay Ridge.

This restaurant is my absolute favorite in Bay Ridge and Im from the neighborhood. All of their food is fresh & consistently mouth-wateringly delicious. They have a better Shrimp scampi type of dish than any Italian place in the neighborhood, thats what I tried tonight and I couldnt stop saying OMG. I recommend dining in because the experienced staff/service is immaculate, I go here at least 3 times a month and have never been disappointed!! Love you guys, thank you!

The falafel was so good, and had the chicken fetti which was mouth watering. Definitely can tell the ingredients are fresh and food has to be some of the best, if not the best, I've had in the area. A little pricey, but I'll pay for this quality and taste any day.

We order here all the time. The food is delicious and always of consistency and quality. We have only had 1-2 issues with orders in the past ten years of ordering from this place. The ingredients are of quality and the delivery staff is always helpful and kind

I gave it my highest rating with a reservation. The hot dishes food were room temperature. It was still very tasty though, especially the Eggplant Napoleon. If you like eggplant, youll love this. I also loved the salad it wad served on.

They are not a normal Middle Eastern restaurant; they re-invent middle eastern food. The chicken shawarma is simply the best in the city. A little pricier than the other places in the neighborhood, but totally worth it.

Following years of contentedly and quite happily cooking, what seemed like, almost nightly dinner parties, I wanted to stretch my culinary horizons and open a space to share a simple idea. Cook the food I made for family and friends at my own restaurant. So, in 1998, TANOREEN was born to showcase the Middle Eastern home cooking I ate growing up, and reveal how its evolved since then. My cookery style, and by extension Tanoreens, was born first and foremost as a form of expression and inspiration I shared with my mom. Im not formally trained, but growing up in my mothers kitchen I might as well have been. My mother, a teacher, was an inspired and enthusiastic cook who whipped together three meals a day for the seven of us. Her unique approach was not rigidly "authentic, " but, rather, inspired by the food and ingredients of our region, in the galilee. What I truly loved and respected about my mothers cooking and indeed the woman herself, was that she somehow "colored outside the lines" and enlivened her life and therefore her food with many creative flourishes. I remember her adding basil to a spice heavy, age-old Middle Eastern meat and potato stew that gave it a lovely green burst, or piling shredded coconut into a time-honored, moist semolina Harisa cake recipe that absolutely sent it over the top. It was inspired, expressive cooking. That is how I learned to experiment with the traditional, to bend the rules with food. By that token, Tanoreen has varied in its fusions, but never deviated from its roots, a blend of classical Middle Eastern home-style cooking with delicious Mediterranean aromas. My cooking celebrates tradition and embraces change. I cook without rigidly following ossified recipes, but I do respect their essence. I opened Tanoreen as a ten table, store front eatery in Brooklyn, and have since, proudly expanded to a much larger location a few years ago with my partner and daughter, jumana. For there to be a true connection between me and my diners, and what my mother taught me, is something I value most at Tanoreen: the cooking has to be inspired. My commitment to ingredients coupled with my respect for my heritage is the basis of my inspiration. I live by these elements, at home and at tanoreen. With warm care, Chef/Owner, Rawia Bishara
